FEAST OF ST IGNATIUS OF LOYOLA 2024

Salt of the Earth, Light of the World

This year's Parish Feast, themed "Salt of the Earth, Light of the World," features a month-long journey guided by the teachings of the Catholic Church and Saint Ignatius of Loyola. Inspired by St. Ignatius' call to be "light of the world," we aim to illuminate the path towards a more compassionate and sustainable future.

Through a series of talks, activities, and reflections, we will explore the two great commissions of our faith: caring for God's creation (Care For Ecology) and honouring our fellow beings (Care For Elderly).

Ecology

"We are Stewards of God's Creation" (1 Peter 4:10)

CARE FOR ECOLOGY

WEEK 01 - 02

6 - 14 JULY 2024

During the first two weeks of July 2024, we focus on the Ecology sub-theme, inspired by Pope Francis' "Laudato Si'".

As stewards of God's creation, we aim to raise awareness and inspire action within our community. Join us in workshops, discussions, and activities to learn sustainable living practices, reduce waste, and honor the Earth as a divine gift.

Care for Elderly

"Do not cast me off in my old age" (cf Psalm 71:9)

CARE FOR THE ELDERLY

WEEK 03 - 04

15 -  31 JULY 2024

In the final two weeks of July, our Parish Feast Day 2024 shifts focus to the theme of caring for the elderly, reflecting our call to be "Salt of the Earth, Light of the World." Through various events and activities, we aim to inspire compassionate support for our elders, recognizing their wisdom and contributions. Join us in fostering a community that honours and cares for its senior members with the love and respect they deserve.
